Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Tom Green County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission is retained as needed to answer it. We keep those communications within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the site may automatically receive basic technical and usage details:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure visits, popular pages, and where sessions end. Analytics providers may combine that information into site-wide reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Tom Green County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of case records or personal docket data. The published material identifies routes to the District Clerk, County Clerk, District Court, re:SearchTX, and other official custodians. eFileTexas accepts filings but is not a public record repository. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Texas court records require an important legal distinction. The Texas Public Information Act can apply to county administrative records, but the Texas judicial branch is not ordinarily subject to that act. Judicial records may instead be governed by Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12, common law, statute, court rules, and court orders, as the Office of Court Administration explains.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is handled under that provider's policy, retention rules, and sharing practices rather than this policy. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Tom Green County clerks, Texas courts, re:SearchTX, legal resources, or outside tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms govern. Check them before providing personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a deletion request may be made through the listed contact route.
Your Data Rights
Rights can differ by residence and the law that applies. A visitor may ask us to take the following steps regarding information held directly by this site:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
